The
Second Annual Wine Auction - to benefit The Children’s
Home of Easton and The Northampton County Historical and Genealogical
Society will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008. The event
will be held in the Acopian Room at the State Theatre in Easton. The
evening will feature a silent and live auction of premium wines
as well as travel, dining and entertainment packages.
By
participating in this unique evening, you and your company will
be helping: The Children’s Home of Easton to help at-risk
children achieve their goals and dreams. All children deserve
an opportunity to succeed. With your help, a child in need
becomes the future successful adult.
Funds from the Wine
Gala also strengthen the ability of The Northampton County
Historical & Genealogical
Society to preserve and share the history of our County - its origins,
its citizens and leaders, its businesses, its culture, and its
contribution to the revitalization of the community.
Last years auction included a variety of items such as vacation
packages to Sugarloaf Resort in Maine, a Key Largo Vacation Home,
a trip to the Anchorage Resort, Grand Cayman, an Avalon Beach House
and tickets to the Metropolitan Opera. It included over 40 vintage
wines such as Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1982, Opus One- Napa 2003,
and an autographed bottle of Andretti Reserve Montana Merlot- Napa
2004. We also had gift baskets, oriental rugs and diamond jewelry
just to name a few of the many items.
Annual Golf Tournament - The Children's Home of Easton's Annual
Golf Tournament benefits the Ruth Baumann College Scholarship Fund
and provides support for our graduating high school students attending
higher education. We hope you will join us next year, Monday, May,
18, 2009 at the beautiful Northampton Country Club for our 21st
Annual Golf Tournament. Please consider a company sponsorship or
foursome for this wonderful event.
92nd Annual Pink Ball -
Saturday, February 7, 2009 held by the Auxiliary of the Children’s
Home. Started in 1917, this is the oldest charity ball in the area.
Come and join us for a fun-filled evening and support the Auxiliary
of the Children’s Home.
